Dont Yell At Me is a bubble tea spot tucked into the University Way NE corridor, serving a blend of classic and inventive milk teas that Seattle’s boba fans clearly appreciate. The vibe here is modern and inviting, with a clean, well-decorated interior that leans toward a minimalist but cozy aesthetic—perfect for grabbing a refreshing drink on a warm afternoon or settling in for a casual meet-up.

The menu stands out for offering more nuanced and unique options beyond the usual bubble tea staples. Drinks like the Osmanthus Jasmine Milk Tea and Rose Milk Tea showcase floral and delicate flavors, while indulgent choices like the Tiramisu foam boba latte and devil pumpkin milk tea topped with cheese foam add a creative twist. Customers often adjust sweetness levels to suit their palate, with many recommending lighter sweetness so the complex tea and foam flavors can shine through.

Locals seem to enjoy stopping by here for a mix of reasons—from a quick pick-me-up between classes and work shifts to late-night boba cravings, as the place offers efficient service even during busier hours. The carefully balanced matcha drinks and teas with specialty toppings like golden honey pearls or cheese foam reveal a thoughtful approach to flavor layering. Those who appreciate tea enthusiasts’ details—like the sharply bitter Four Season Green Tea or the honey-infused Oolong—will find something worth exploring.

The setting encourages lingering but doesn’t demand it; comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere make this a good spot to catch up with friends or recharge solo. The store’s playful name and branding add some lighthearted energy without overshadowing the quality of the drinks, which seem to reliably satisfy a diverse crowd—from students craving something sweet and creamy to tea purists seeking a more traditional sip.

Best times to drop by might be mid-afternoon or early evening when you want to escape the bustling streets of the University District without surrendering to overly crowded spaces. If you’re curious about bold tea flavors or looking for a bubble tea destination that gives equal attention to the drink’s subtleties and fun toppings, Dont Yell At Me offers a well-rounded experience in Seattle’s lively boba scene.

By far the BEST and my Fav boba tea place in Seattle. I have been to several Dont Yell at Me locations in Seattle and they are consistent across. Love their boba tea. I usually order their tiramisu with cheese foam and rose milk with golden honey pearl and both the drinks tasted amazing! We order both drinks with 25% sweetness and both the drinks were sweet enough! Cant imagine how 100% sweetness tastes like here. Nevertheless it was delicious. They do have plenty of seating. They also have Lady M style cakes and we ordered their Oreo cake which was delicious. All in all a huge fan of this boba tea place and will definitely stop by again.

I’ve visited “Don’t Yell At Me” a couple of times and tried a variety of drinks. 1. Uji Matcha Smoothie with Cream Cheese The matcha-to-milk ratio was spot on—nicely balanced and easy to drink. The cream cheese topping was saltier than usual, which might surprise some, but the amount was well portioned. The strawberries weren’t sweet, which was a bit of a letdown, but overall the drink still had a good base. 2.Brown Sugar Milk Tea Loved the chewy texture of the boba. The drink itself leaned more on the sweet side and could’ve used a stronger tea flavor to round it out, but it’s a decent pick if you prefer milder teas. 3. Lychee Tea My friend tried this one on our second visit. It reminded us of canned lychee—not super fresh (I didn’t quite like it), but if you're into that nostalgic flavor, you might enjoy it. 4. Mango Tea Probably my favorite out of the bunch. It tasted fresh, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. Super refreshing and definitely a solid choice. 5. Crème Brûlée Tea This one didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It was kind of disappointing. The drink was overly rich and greasy, probably due to the heavy cream. Plus, they didn’t do the sugar torching on top, which was what I was most excited about. :(

Lovely boba shop! The interior is very nice, modern, and clean. The menu has some very unique and interesting drinks. I got the Roselle Honey Chrysanthemum Tea with the rose jelly and it was very refreshing and tart! It js very pretty and has whole chrysanthemum flowers in the drink! I also like how it was not too sweet! The packaging and logo are also pretty funny!

Delicious Brown Sugar Pearl, Traditional Milk Tea, and Mango Green Tea. I chose 50% sugar and it was yum, but will get 25% on my next visit. Quick service and great place for late night Boba cravings!
